FTP with Dreamwever cs3

Sorry for a noob question im ok at using Dreamwever for editing and publishing my sites. But want to use it as a FTP client just to put a .txt file on a server. I have set up the site and managed to connect to the remote server and can see the files there, just struggling to get my file up there.
There dont seam to be anything obviouse that i have missed.

I used to use SmartFTP but thats payware now.

Once you have set up a site on Dreamweaver, use the "File" pane to find the files you want to upload. Right click on the file you and and click "Put" and it should conect to the FTP and upload it.

Cheers, Still couldnt get dreamweaver to put files, i could see files and get them but not put. Got round it using a coreFTP.
