Hi all, I've just swapped my TalkTalk hub out for a modem and two Eero 6 routers as we were having issues with stability and signal downstairs. It's a significant upgrade to what we had before however I have one question.

Currently, we have the modem and one router in the nursery, and the second router is in the living room at the opposite corner of the house. If I was to buy a third router to place in our home office and connect it via ethernet to my gaming computer would I see better latency and stability than connecting to the mesh via wireless?

The wireless signal to my PC is very good, but I do get latency spikes every now and then. Unfortunately the home office is the only room in the house without a physical connection, and I don't have the time or money to have one added at the moment. I've tried power line in the past but it was less stable than wireless.

No, all you'd be doing is changing the connection between the last hub / router and your PC, you'll still be at the mercy of the wifi connection between the Eero's.

Not sure why you’d buy such a limited product.

Do you have hard wired cables at all available anywhere?

I moved my office from a room that had a wired connection to a room that didnt, I bought a TP-Link Wifi extender that I connect my PC to via ethernet and then that connects to the wifi points around the house, I did this as the PC didnt have Wifi built in and i thought this was a better solution that buying a wifi card for the PC. I get about 450mbps on a speedtest with a ping of 5ms on speedtest.net
