Just feel like sharing my joy really :)

Bought this house 4 years ago. Only ADSL2+ available as we was on an exchange only line. approx 220 houses in this estate all in the same boat.

Currently getting:

All the houses around us can get FTTC but we cannot, well until May last year a PCP appeared 200m from us. BTO dug up the EO line and converted our group to normal lines :)
6 Weeks later a lovely new FTTC Cabinet appeared right next to the PCP :D
Planned for August but delayed due to ducting damage under the roads. All sorted now.

Ive been checking the BT DSL Checker everyday for the last 4 months:confused: then on Saturday this happened

Straight on to BT and ordered Infinity 2, they only supply the HH5 now and not the separate HG612 :( My HH4 is crap. I do not want another HH.
Installed on the 29th Jan :D:D

Ive bought myself a brand new HG612 3B off eBay. Will the engineer be prepared to use this or will they just use the HH?

So happy, this has been a long time coming. I moved out of my parents with 18Mbps/1.5Mbps ADSL2+ for this rubbish 4Mbps :(

The HH5 has a VDSL modem built in, and you won't have an engineer calling as you've likely got a self install kit and the engineer will only do work at the cabinet and not call to make any changes to the master socket (also it's the BTOR engineers that have the modems, so if one isn't calling then you wouldn't have gotten one and if one did call then they wouldn't supply one because what you've been supplied already has a VDSL modem).
