So Openreach have been and installed fibre boxes to the top of all the telegraph poles round here. I presume that this is going to give us all the option of fibre into the home soon?

I spoke to the guys and they fitted 14 or 16 ports of fibre on the pole at my house. They said they are fitting enough to each pole to cover everyone thats currently on copper plus a few spare.

Wondering how long it will be before I can increase above 19mbit

It could be weeks or months until your house shows as having availability on www.openreach.com, but no ISP is taking orders at the moment because Openreach won't go into people's houses to complete the installation.
