So will Geforce GTX 260

We've found out what looks to be the launch date for GT200 cards. We are happy to report that both GT200 cards are single chip cards, something that we've suggested back in January.

The launch should take place on the 18th of June, just in the middle of week 25, and at current schedule that is two days after ATI's RV770 launch.

The name Geforce GTX 280 looks a bit odd, but I am sure that we will get used to it. The only other alternative was to use a Geforce 9900 cliché, but we believe that GT200 deserves a better name. As it's been suggested on many occasions, GT200 chip will have significantly more Shader units and the most frequent number that we heard was 240. We are still working on getting the confirmation of this bold spec.

Nvidia just ran out of numbers and it’s starting all over again. It's like resetting the odometer, more or less.

It was?

I can only find one thread on it and that's mine. Maybe it's been posted in other threads but I wanted to create a main topic for it :)

Think I'll be going for the ATi release over this. If I manage to sell before depreciation on my current card I shouldnt take much of a hit upgrading to the ATi job.

I think I will be holding off on upgrading, not much out on PC this year that interests me, I think Far Cry 2 is all there is.

As long as I can play TF2, I'm happy.

will see buy one 4870x2 or 9900gtx or what ever they called depends of the price they will have in august as there is no point buying one before holiday

I'll buy whatever's the best bang for the buck and most easily overclockable.....last time it was the 3850, guessing it will most likely be the 4850 this time.

Did I just have a flight of the navigator or did they just finish releasing the rather poor 9x00 series?
