Fuel. Pending card payment

Morning.
Currently away and used a self service fuel station 2 weeks ago. Pressed the full button but only used €50 which was settled. But there's still a pending amount of €150. All that I've read says it will sort itself out after 7 days but it's now been 14
Is just going to be a case of waiting till it times out?
I've used several of these type of stations only had this issue once
All the others sorted themselves out instantly or by the next day

Yeah these things are a pain in the ass, used them in Iceland and a few other places.

From what I remember they did “sort themselves out” after a few days, 14 sounds excessive - I’d contact the bank to be sure..

It's with starling bank. I did look at disputing it but cannot as it's not taken the payment only ring fenced it. I'm a little stuck. Also read that it could take 30 days to self cancel.

Yeah there's not a lot your bank can do until it's past the 28 day point AFAIK. The fact it's an international charge probably doesn't help.

Yea, with Visa (can be different for other merchants) it's usually 3 working days but can be up to 30, its a pita but should sort itself automatically.
