Bought one of these a few weeks ago and have realised i can get much better pictures by taking it out of auto mode,
I understand the basics of aperature & shutter speed but it seems i can only adjust one or the other not adjust both in order to get a better picture, ie.. when i increase the shutter speed (in shutter priority mode) i can`t seem to adjust the aperture to suit so i end up with not enough light to take a good picture,
Is also the same if i adjust apperture (in aperture priority mode) i`m unable to adjust the speed. Is this the way this camera is desinged or am i missing something here.

Regards Sk1n

As far as im aware you cant change shutter speed in aperture priority mode, vice versa, you can only change both in either programmed mode, or full manual mode. Correct me if im wrong though :p

although it has a manual mode, its not a full manual mode.

You can get round it slightly by setting it up in Ap Priorit and using the Exposure Compensation to adjust the shutter speed. Give a little bit of scope.
