I've always wanted to get into photography and thought If I were to invest in a camera I'd save the pennies and go for Canon 350D or similar.

Being a student and jobless, reality says it won't be possible for a long time, yet.

I am however able to afford this camera (Although pushing my budget) I've just seen it on for £150 delivered.

Would you guys recommend this? Has anyone got this camera if so, would like to here your opinions etc.

Also some sample pictures would be great!

Thanks :)

Hi dark shadow.

I own a Fuji S5600, I bought it to replace an olympus C5000.

I feel it is a good camera to learn on, it has full manual controls, and a decent zoom lens.

The camera uses push button zoom controls, despite what looks like a manual zoom control ring around the lens.

Fixed lens housing (all the zooming is done internally to the lens housing), and you can fit 55mm filters on the end of the lens without any bother (I keep a uv filter in place permanently).

It would have been nice if the camera had a flash hotshoe. Even without that you are getting a good camera for the money.
