I've been looking at HDR photography and would like to have a go at it. Looking at the guides it seems that to do it using 3 differently exposed shots requires a bracketing setting of -2, 0, and +2. Unfortunately on the S9500 it seems that this only has +/- 1/3, 2/3 and 1.
Does this mean no HDR using this method, or is there any way I can compensate for this?

Will +/- 1 give any decent results at all, or will I have to shoot RAW and adjust the levels using software?

The bracketing doesn't have to be +/-2, it can be more or less, it depends on how much the light levels in the scene change.

It is possible to produce results from a single RAW file, although more shots over a range of exposures will lead to a better result.

Also you are not just limited to 3 shots, you should be able to take as many as you want.

You are probably best off setting your camera to manual and adjusting the exposure yourself to achieve the required bracketing.

My worry is that at the point I touch the camera, even on a tripod, I'll knock it out of alignment and get a less clear image.
I'll try both RAW and lower exposure compensation.
