X20:

The X20 is an improved version of the X10 with a 12MP X-Trans II sensor which has on-chip phase detection AF and a optical viewfinder with a LCD overlay. The sensor also lacks a low pass filter too.

X100S:

This update to the X100 introduces the 16MP X-Trans II sensor which has on-chip phase detection AF too.

Pentax has just launched a high end compact after an absence of many years:

The lens looks a derivative of the one found in the Olympus XZ-2. According to many websites it has a top shutter speed of 1/8000!

The X100s makes me look forward to the X-Pro sucessor. The Pentax is pretty cool too, although it makes me wonder whether Ricoh will ever release a GRDV.

I reckon the X100S could be a blinder if the focusing is as good as they say. That Pentax is very ugly in my view, it has a cheap rather than retro look about it, like they skimped on design and some of the parts. Obviously there's more to cameras than looks but pretty much all of the recent compacts of the same ilk have been gorgeous which hasn't hurt their appeal.
