Fujitsu amilo 1705

Hi,

My gf got back from a business trip with her ole fujistu amilo 1705 laptop and its not powering up...

Tried with battery and also without battery and just the charger but its just dead as a dodo...

I took the back of and whilst having the charger plugged it turned it on to see if the heatsink spins but nothing...

Is it possible for both the battery and battery charger to have died???

I took the hdd to try retrieve the data from it and thats working perfectly well..

What do you think it could be?? How can I test the mobo to see if that is dead? Or alternatively the cpu? or even the battery (mind you the battery has no metal contacts whatsoever)

Any ideas would be most appreciated..

how was it packaged while taken to the business trip? did it work at the place of business?

it was in a laptop bag and yes it worked whilst she was away..

last night I disconnected everything and reconnected it...

I am now receiving orange and green lights on the LED which I understand are to do with a) battery and b) power but everytime I try powering up nothing happens the HSF just doesnt want to spin...

If the mobo was dead wouldnt it beep?

I have tried booting with and without RAM and HDD...again it would aleast post wouldnt it?
