Hello ladies and gents,

My university grant just cleared... So it's laptop time. I've been losing sleep over what one to choose, Dell seemed good but, the 1330 is a little pricey for what you get (I'm looking for a 13.3" screen for around £700).

This caught my sleep depraved eye, Fujitsu si 2636 £700.

A good buy?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the quick answer.

The machine went on the market yesterday, graphics wise... Long as it runs eve online i'm cool (I have a high grade games machine).

I wanted a small machine I can lug around for mainly study, mobile web access, some basic graphics editing/web design (just for fun).

Dells 1330 for lower spec worked out £150+ more, not including graphics card.

Seems like the best option for £700 (as far as I currently know).

True I could do better for the £, but I'm looking for the very portable side of things.. I study molecular science with the open university/plus work full time so I have to study from where ever I am.

eve online has a low res client, mainly cpu intensive (switch to the high res shinny graphics client when on my beast of a pc).

Any one know a few alternative I could take a look at?

p.s thanks again

I had a change of heart, Just went to the dark side and ordered a XPS 1330 (T7250/2gigs ram/8400 graphics card/9 cell battery)... £710

I thought the newer processor didn't compensate for the graphics card.

Any one think that I should call back and try and haggle for a lower price, I know it's possible... or is that as good a deal as it gets?
