Potential alternative to the much loved ProLiant MicroServer N36L

  • Bit more horsepower with the Athlon X2 220/255 CPUs (2.8 or 3.1Ghz DC). There's also a single core Sempron option.
  • 4 DIMM slots for up to 16GB
  • HD capacity possibly isn't as good but I'm reading this as meaning you could get 4 x 2.5" HDs in:
    3 x (2x 3.5-inch and 1x 5.25-inch - all non hot-plug SATA; in each of the 2x 3.5” bays, it is possible to fit up to 2x 2.5” HDDs).

Not really seeing this as anything special, the beauty of the HP is having those 4x3.5" bays, which along with an extra drive in the 5.25" and the low power/quiet design makes for a very viable DIY NAS.
Plus the price was at just over £100 after cashback.

If the Fujitsu's are really cheap (£50-£75) I'd be interested, but I doubt they will be.
