Hi,

I have an old I7 PC that I would like to transplant into a HTPC case so I can use it as... you guessed it, a HTPC.

The problem is its full fat ATX motherboard and PSU, are there any HTPC ATX cases that would look decent under the TV that aren't towers?

Thanks in advance

Yeah I was looking through them but they seem huge. I was really hoping for something that doesn't seem to exist, the Fractal Define C of HTPC cases so a small case that takes full ATX, I only need to put one HDD in there.

How do you find your GD09 for noise and building into?

It's brilliant for building into and I've even had a 970 G1 Gaming in there. However, it is quite large.

Really, the GPU I'm using is tiny. I'll measure up and see if it will fit in the cabinet but could probably do with a smaller case just for the fact that there wont be much going in it.

Is the HTPC dueling as a server / future home server? Is there a potential in the future it will be used to power a 4k HDR TV (requiring HDMI 2), and finally is it used for games. Finally is your PSU ATX size, or SFX? Spent waaay too long brewing on this so can give you some tips. Also what CPU do you have?

I got stuck in this quagmire with my HTPC. Got stubborn on keeping my full sized PSU, however ended up changing the Mboard for an ITX and grabbing the InWin 901. There is allot more range in the Micro ITX size.

If you stick with full ATX your options are limited in that most are quite big. Personally at that size would go a small midi tower which looks pretty (aluminum models etc).

hi,

yes will be a server in the future, could move to 4k in the future but for now 1080p.

mobo and psu are full atx and were free hence my dilemma, not sure what cup is yet just know its an i7 need to power it on and check

I def need full atx in as small a case as possible, the grandia won't fit the cabinet though otherwise I would just get that :(
