Was considering a tower, but would look a bit odd next to me telly stand? Misses wouldn't be impressed either, I am under strict instruction that my PC gear must stay in my playpen sorry, "study"

Silverstone do one, but OCUK dont stock it, its about £100 called a Lacasia or something, full ATX and desktop format.

silverstone have 14 full atx AV / destop style cases. use the left navagation bar > HTPC/Desktop > ATX
el cheapo options GMC has some options but not a patch on the silverstones.

I built mine into an A+ CS-GL-3:
It takes a full ATX mobo, and an ATX PSU (it's mounted in the front, next to the optical drive bays). It's actually quite cleverly packaged and well laid out for such a cheap case. It won't take a very long graphics card though, so bear that in mind.
It's a cheap case at ~£60, but looks nice, is built quite well (the front is alu) and gets the job done
