For a £50 deposit I have a 10 day trial of Full Auto But will probably return it a little sooner.
First impressions were "oooh wow this is so much fun and madness" but plodding through the single player is getting old fast.

Anyone up for some mayhem later or has everyone traded it in already?

TBH from what i saw online its not much kop im afraid, have a good blast at the SP, everyone on MP is just there for the points tbh so non one plays properly.

£40 for a year aint that expensive?

There's ton of people out there who play properly. How exactly do you play properly in a racer/shoot em up? It's no holds barred full stop.

I think it's a great game imo and horribly overlooked, just like Condemned was. Singleplayer ain't all that, but online it's superb and I'm made just over 20 odd friends on my way to Rank10 and had awesome races with the chaps in the top 10 leaderboard even though some use an exploit to get there. I'm keeping mine for a bit longer as I've got 2 achievements left.

VRII, if you want easy gamerpoints if thats your thing then you'll get them quite quick with FA. I'll be up for any games this upcoming week though but atm I've got CoD2 Vet, Fight Night and GRAW to get through :/

Gamerpoints aren't really my thing and winning isn't that much of an incentive to me. I just figured as I was so pants at PGR3 that a game where crashing got points was natural for me lol.

You sound like me then :) I was no good at PGR3 either tbh.

Try it online, trust me I'm sure you'll have a blast I know I did. Just remember that you can customise your weaps packages online as most peeps seem to forget this and get thrashed. I wrote up some tips Here

TBH, I enjoyed the online multiplayer. There wasn't THAT much to it, but in total contract to PGR3, the strangers playing were actually good fun. It was the perfect balance of online gaming, if you hit someone then that's fine 'cos that was part of the game. You could either race ahead at high speed but score little crash points, or tag behind, come last, but destroy everything in your path.

As Kainz said, it's quite an underrated game.

I am enjoying it :) I was just hoping to get some PGR3 related payback.
Right now my Brother is playing it and his whoop of "wooooooah" the first time he launched the car into the air said it all lol.

Hmmm... I wasn't going to get this because the demo was OK, but didn't see much long term appeal. I might go 'rent' it from the same place today and see how it stands up ;) :D

Just wait till Burnout is released, that'll be the best of both worlds! :D

Online's where it's at. The singleplayer is mostly fun, but has a few moments of unadulterated annoyance!

I'll be up for some mayhem, if you're about tomorrow. :D

I haven't tried the ranked games, but, if they'd no cop, it'll be going on my 'for the MM' list.

Prepare to meet some hilarious players online when you play ranked games. I played for a solid two weeks or so and had a great experience. You'll prolly meet your fair share of dummies who drive the other way wracking up kills by ramming you head on, then firing at you with Lv3 guns but it's no holds barred.

Winning a race is quite easy and providing you know the shortcuts you'll win a surpraising amount of races, I won tons but they didn't show up on the online leaderboard for some reason despite me having the correct no of points for rank10.

Do online kills etc go towards the achievements ingame?

I don't think so no. The achievements for FA are a bit puzzling at times, with players going different routes to get there.

Just looking at your achivements now...
500/1000 Kills - Setup a custom rampage game and select Lv3 guns and let rip destroying everything - rinse and repeat a few times. You can see how many kills you have on the leaderboard.

The Master AI difficulty achivements - Goto Arcade and setup a custom game. Select a fast car for yourself and dumb down the AI cars by giving them a Class C cars and these maps will be a breeze.

Heresy!

Its only an achievement if you have all the cars as the same class as you :) They're pretty good too at this difficulty level...

lol could do it that way but its hard not to ignore a game design flaw :)
