Full conroe system or equivalent for £600 inc vat?

Hey all, i have £600 to spend on a new system and was just wondering if it was possible to get a new conroe system (am willing to get AMD if it is relatively future proof or will last me at least 2years). I have monitor etc so will just be new system but will need new GFX, HDD, everything lol

ok cheers - any chance of a bigger hdd 80GB seems on small size. What could I get for going down socket 939 route? Whats the 7600GT like?
 
imo if u went donw the 939 route, you wouldnt really get much more, over lock that conroe and it could be as good as the 700 quid fx62

ok I'm going 2 buy one of these systmes 2day - which 1? My monitor atm only supports res's up 2 1200*800 - will the 1800XT be wasted on this - should I go for the 7600GT with the faster HDD?
 
X1800XT would be what I'd go for :)

Definitely worth the extra but if not, the 7600GT is also great value :)
