The bit which mentions it being "add supported" sounds a shame but then i guess they've gotta make the cost of putting it up for free back somehow

I think I'd prefer branded clothes than tonnes of adverts on every damn loading screen.
Already got FarCry so won't be getting that, but saw in the other thread Price of Persia is now free, so will be getting that.

shocked they are putting out quality games for free now. i really can;t believe this.

just downloaded it and it says you must be in the U.S to play this, anyone know how to work around this?

Just need to disguise your IP so the programs think your living in the USA, there's a number of programs on the web that can do this, though not free they do come with trials to try them out.

I thought there must be a catch, dam. I only ever played the demo of farcry on a mx400 so playing the full thing on what I have now would be like a brand new game

Loading screen is hardly any time at all, I'd happily have the loading screen full of adverts, especially in such a good game.

Each character could wear a Nike hoodey & your character could use NHS medi packs I guess

I'd download if it was mirror'd somewere apart from Fileplanet, downloading at 60k/s is not fun at all.

If it's the trend and if it works then I guess they would put out Crysis with ads eventually.

Apparently Codemasters are making DiRT and a couple of other games free with the same method.
