After a few days of thinking I've decided I'm going to split and sell my xeon 5650 system and with the proceeds I will build a nice compact itx system

It will be primarily for gaming on a 1080p TV but also from time to time I will use it on a 4k monitor

Stuff I want in it is but unsure of is;

I5 6600k
Asus z170i gaming pro
16gb ram (too much?)

Good gfx card (currently have r9 270x)

Case and psu that will allow a full sized gfx card

Other things I would like are small, cool and quiet as reasonable as possible

Any thoughts?

I did consider an x99 system but the skylakes seem to be better for gaming and a little cheaper

I'm not too fussed about the case as long as its small, quiet and can fit a decent spec gfx card in - oh and if its not hideous to look at too would be a bonus but apart from that just a generic cube style would suffice

I think id rather go with skylake as its cheaper overall

Just wondering whether to keep the radeon 270x or is there anything that will offer substantially more performance at 1080p for less than £200

Hmm I'm getting it more expensive

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £505.44
(includes shipping: £10.50)

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £224.69
(includes shipping: £8.70)

+£130 for an asus z170 itx pro gaming

So a £150 difference
