Full Format - Vista

When I install Vista 64 the only format option available is 'Format', which does a quick format. How can i do a full format. Thanks

This is a new disk. It needs a full format to mark out any bad sectors.

Thanks, I'll be re-installing later today. I turned the computer on today and was met by "Bootmgr is missing" in POST. re booting with the Vista disk cured it but it was still worrying.

I'll probably end up installing Vista several times before I register it, and save the base install with Acronis, for future re installs without having to phone Microsoft.

Another problem: Trying to do a fresh install of Vista. Will not boot from Vista disk. It just carries on and loads Vista from the HD. Boot from CD ROM is first boot option in BIOS. I can only re install by running Vista from within the installed Vista. Its not meant to be like this is it?

Figured it out. I'd swopped the keyboard for a USB one... DOH!
