Full PII or bare i7 system?

I have £800 to spend on a new system. I only need a tower, got monitors and OS.

Just wondering, across all areas, which would you rather go for? A complete,very nice Phenom II system or a complete minimum i7 rig?? That is across all areas.

Neither, a Q9xxx rig with bells.

most peoples opinions will be i7 by a country mile - then you could upgrade

but for £800 i would look at a core2rig or a phenom 2

depends what you are using it for

Depends what you will be using it for.

The i7 is blistering, you would not be dissapointed.

And you would not be dissapointed with the Phenom.
