the issues im having is that when i watch a video on youtube it doesnt hide the taskbar.

i know the reason for this is that i have the dpi at a large size (150%)
if i make it smaller it allows the taskbar to hide when im watching a full screen video but i then cant read any text without straining my eyes. atm iam getting around this by setting the task bar to auto hide when i dont have my cursor near it but this is annoying.

is there anyway to keep the settings i have but have the task bar hide when im watching a full screen vid?

You could try a lower resolution?

What monitor do you have, a monitor with less pixel density might help (Such as a 1080p 27" compared to a 1080p 24").

im using my tv. its a 22" 1080p run through as hdmi cable. ive tried lower resolutions and it makes watching blurays horrible.

am i right in saying this is just a flaw of windows 7 combined with my tv?

Ah, I can see why you have the DPI set to 150%... The pixels on your monitor are pretty small since it condenses 1080p into 22", which seems perfectly fine on 24".

On the other hand, it seems to be a silly Windows 7 flaw. Only way around it I suppose is:

1) Wait for Microsoft to fix the problem (which seems unlikely)
2) Keep the task bar on auto hide
3) A larger monitor with the same resolution, or a 22" with a smaller resolution

Another random thing you could try is a VGA/DVI connection to your TV if it's possible. Sometimes I find the HDMI settings on TVs can "clash" with the PC HDMI settings, making the overall picture worse than VGA/DVI.

yea im trying to find a vga with female connections as my motherboard outputs a male connection and my tv only accepts female input but i only have male-male vga cables.

cannot find an adaptor or anything anywhere.
