When opening up a game in Steam on my HTCP I'm getting a black border. I've checked a few things; no overscan on my TV, CCC is set to 0% overscan compensation and the resolution is set to 1080. The desktop fills the screen as does Steam big picture but as soon as open a game it has border and it's not running in windowed mode.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

I presume the game is also running at 1080p. Have you checked that the refresh rate is the same as your desktop refresh rate?

Yes game is definietly set at 1080, TV should support both 50 and 60hz but I'll check if the games have an individual setting for refresh.

From memory, any different 'mode' (resolution, refresh rate, etc) will require adjustment of the overscan settings. Has been a while since I played with it so I could be wrong but that's how I remember things :)

I'll check that out, thanks. Could be no compensation at 50hz but some at 60hz.
