Hi Guys,

I have a 37" Sharp LCD connected to my HTPC. Even though I set resoultion to 1920*1080 (max resolution) I'm not getting the full sceen. It's like the screen is bordered, 1 cm from the both sides ans 0.5 cm top and bottom. I just bought the Radeon Sapphire HD 3870 as I thought the problem was the onboard graphic card. But it seems it's no the issue here.

It's connected through an HDMI 1.3 cable.
Am I missing a setting?

Could be your TV (or card) scaling for some reason.

If your TV has 1:1 mapping, it should not scale, assuming its a 1080p set. There may be only one of the HDMI inputs that supports 1:1 mapping, so check your manual to see that your using the right one and that it does support 1:1.

Also, check in CCC that scaling is off (don't have ATi so can't be sure of the settings).

Check your options in the tv menu for the input you are using

Most have multi modes , 16:9 , scan only etc
When I used my HTPC on my tv I noticed in 16:9 it was a bit off , I switched to scan only and it fills the screen completely.
