Hey,
I've been looking for a new pc for a while now and have finally come across a good looking full system on your website. It's the "Ultima OC Complete 8800GT" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ QX6950+ 3.00GHz+ Quad Core DDR2 Complete System.

I have a few questions about it however and help would be appreciated ^^

Basically I don't know very much about building and installing pc's and I was wondering that since its classed as a "Full system" does it come with everything I need? Such as all the necessary wiring and everything fully built inside etc. Basically I need it to be ready to plug in and for me to use it :P.

I live in Northern Ireland and was wondering, since its not mainland UK will it take longer for the delivery to get to me? :D

As for delivery, it'll take longer and cost a bit more, that's the price you pay for getting to have your own pet leprechaun. I want a leprechaun ffs =(
 
How do these specs sound guys?
Since im looking for a good pc for as close to £1000 as i can get =D

Do you already have an OS for it? I don't see one in there.

If you've got that covered then it is a reasonable system although building your own may well work out cheaper and will give you more of a clue if/when you need to upgrade.
 
Yeah i know but its complicated :P
ATM thinking about 32bit vista premium / basic tbh, should come pre-installed =D, cause apparantly 64bit has loads of compatability issues :/
Also will get the ram uprade to 4GB since its only like £23 more and it doubles it :D

It's really really easy to build a PC, if you can manage to put together Lego then the chances are good you can build a PC.

I've recently started running Vista 64bit Ultimate on my laptop and it works flawlessly with anything I've tried. Who/where told you that there were issues? There were some teething problems but that is inevitable with anything as complex as a new OS and to my knowledge most of the major ones have been sorted out barring the issue with Creative Labs Audigy soundcards.
 
Hmm I dunno, but would prefere it to be pre-built since I really dont want to screw it up :P, plus this system comes with a pretty nice monitor, keyboard and mouse :D.
A friend of mine told me about 64bit vista, said it has compatability issues, does it make much of a difference compared to 32bit?
 
I've not found any compatability problems but it is a laptop so I've not been using it for gaming. Several other people on here do use 64bit for gaming though and they seem to manage fine. It is better if you might be using 4gb or more of Ram at any point in the future. :)

Yep, using Vista 64 on my main rig here. No compatibility issues. IMO though there's only any point using it if you have 4gb of RAM, because the 64-bit overhead slows a 2GB machine down a fair bit.

Thanks dude, but since its a complete system there won't be any building involved will there? Thanks for the delivery info Tweak, im in County Antrim myself ^^. When its delivered will the system be basically ready to use? Once i plug it in and wire up the monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.

Yeh it will be ready to use :)
 
The ultima systems are ready built so yes, just plug and play, you may need to go through the initial windows setup for first time user, I.E. setup user account etc... never bought one so not too sure...
 
Thanks a lot for the help, have re-assured me ^^. Will probly be buying it soon. Seemed like a really good offer for one which isnt custom built. Maybe the graphics card isnt the most powerful, but i suppose its possible to replace it later or maybe get another and use them in SLI.
Since the processor is OC'ed it wont overheat too much will it?

The IP35 is an intel P35 chipset, which does not support sli.

The arctic freezer 7 pro is a good cooler, than 3ghz is not a large overclock on the Q6600, it can quite possibly be done on stock volts, maybe a bit over. So no, it shouldn't overheat. If i were you I'd have a go at overclocking your cpu yourself as well, that's a good board and the chip should get to 3.2+ with ease.
