Unless your streaming, then 6 core 12 thread ryzen will be fine . Plus once Zen2+ rolls out in 2019/20 most could upgrade their chip to be fair - why x370 board is selected
Nothing is future proof, next Nvidia card will have edge over current has its v-ray support is via hardware etc etc
