This will be expensive as hell itself and the 'upgradable parts' will cost even more..(due too custom motherboard design and 'pod' connectors)

I love the idea though.

besides how expensive the parts will definitely be... how much variety will you be given in terms of parts available? Will you be able to choose between AMD and Nvidea GPU's? Intel and AMD CPU's? Memory Speed and Cas? Although it looks pretty i think you will end paying a premium for parts that you may not want...

Like the idea myself tbh -I know its only a concept but I even like the design of it, good to know that there's some interesting innovation happening (even if it doest come to market).

It would cut out desktop assembly costs and the need to upgrade motherboard along with CPU etc (well, for a longer time I reckon). The price might balance out somewhat in that respect, for those who don't build their own computers.

Also nice to see a company like Razer going along the commercial mineral oil cooling road. Seems past time that computers should be totally silent. Slowly getting there I suppose, with SSD's etc.

Many questions remain unanswered but very interesting concept for sure.

Thanks for heads up Morfinel, and Stulid for mentioning the Linus vid, nice.

Wow, that looks superb. Just watched the vid too, really good to know things like this are being worked on, and the initial premiums will come as no surprise tbh.

I'm undecided on it - sure it's convenient, but it looks strange (I know this is not the end product) and cuts out the fun of computer building. Plus it could lead to less choice over which components you can install in it.

However, for PC gamers who prefer pre-built systems this could be a great product. And also the cooling system is rather good from the sounds of it.

It does look like the Thermaltake Level 10 Case.

Like all other razor products (about from peripherals) they look absolutely amazing, but I would never buy one as the price/performance is terrible and I would rather performance > aesthetics.
