fun alcoholic ... drink things?

Well, im going another lan this weekend, its one i organise with another couple of people, and we allow alcohol as BYOB ... YAY!!!!!

so i usually make something alcoholic to take down with me for people to sample.

so far, ive made skitltes vodka:

and vodka gummy bears (which quite a few of the OcUk staff can vouch for, are blooming strong!!! because we were in a hot enviroment, they melted into a pourable jelly stuff, it was horrible, but amazing.

so what can i do this year? something that can be done in a few days (we will be sampling it on saturday.

the more quirky the better tbh!

one of the other ones we have is from our danish guy, he does this really salty licorice, with some danish alcohol, it looks like mud water, but is very strong, its always a laugh when that starts flowing.

As its the danish guys LAST LAN =( i want to make sure we get him in a bit of a state (whilst drinking responsibly of course )

i thought palma violets or something like that?

im not sure if sherbert would work, but il have a look into it

Apparently using werthers originals for toffee vodka works very well.

ooou, thats an idea! i can always grab a bag of those to try

not a problem, im going shopping in a min so il grab some, il probably just do a small bottle of the werthers.

anyone else has ideas, it doesnt have to be vodka, as long as it can be bought from a supermarket im happy

skittles and urm... vodka

to make it i got a large bottle of vodka, separated all the colours then split the vodka into 6 bottles and dumped the skittles in them.

i left them for about a day, shaking them every now and again. you get a horrible paste floating on the top of them, but dont worry about that.

next ya get some coffee filters, or kitchen towwel or something else that you can use as a filter, and filter out the sludge and whats left of the skittles.

tip them back into the bottles and your done!

i was looking for pear drops but couldt see them, so thought id go for rhubarb and custard instead

I made skittles vodka but was left disappointed. Was about 6 months ago and still have most of it left.

Just all seems really pale not bright and yummy looking like yours!

yup, more skittles and possibly leave them for longer. I managed to aquire quite a few of the large bags of skittles, i used 2 large bags with a large bottle of vodka.

I bought some miracle berries off Amazon the other day. Planning to have a strange flavoured food and drink high over the weekend. Get a couple of the lads round, eat some crap, watch some films, play some games.

Apparently it makes lemons taste sweet, some say beer tastes like chocolate. Im going to buy many different drinks/foods (mainly kebabs) and see how long it tastes for my body to start shutting down.

I have no idea what they are, but im going to order some.

My favourite home-made flavoured vodkas are made with Atomic Fireblast/Fireball Jawbreakers (if you like cinnamon) and Sour Jawbreakers.

for this one, ive made these today!

Lots of vodka jelly, theres a full bottle of absolute raspberry (a litre or just under i think) This vodka had been in my cupboard since xmas, not been touched so i thought id use it. , 300ml of water and 2 packets of jelly there. i added a small amount of gelatin to make sure it bind properly with so much alcohol in it.

Rhubarb and custard vodka - this tastes AWESOME! im not even much for vodka but it does make a good base ingredient, and with this, its NICE.

Worthers original vodka - im not much for this, im not much for worthers, or vodka, but you can taste the flavour of the sweets.

incidentally with both of these, i crushed up the sweets before i added the vodka, and there was nothing, at all, left of the sweets after 12 hours. so the flavor is definitely in there!

and the last thing a massive chocolate layered cheese cake (this still hasnt got the last layer on yet)

the base is oreo cookies, 2 packs crushed up with butter
then 2 cheese cheese cake mixed with 200g of cadburys chocolate
then a layer of dream desert with 160g of cadburys melted into it AND 8 crushed ferrero rocher in it (i took out the big nut though) and some chocolate drops too

the last layer is going to be whipped cream, with some grated chocolate, some chocolate drops, chocolate sprinkles and cadburys caramal chocolate broken up the top!

best part is, i dont eat chocolate, i suffer migraines if i eat it, so you will have to wait if you want to know what it tastes like

haha, yeah thats why i like to do things like these tbh, people "forget" its vodka and just knock them back, even some of the oldies get involved! (im only 25, some are double my age!!... probably.)

Quick update on the miracle berries. Make me feel a bit sick, far too sweet, probably didn't help that the first thing i had was a raddler, but i thought the lemon would lemon and things. Im sure extremely sour things would be fine, but regular foods just are overly sweet.

am disappoint.

Aaaah getting swear filtered.... It rhymes with monk and is another word for seamen

Refreshers are a delight you are correct, but violets are nice too!

And real men are in touch with their feminine side now dude! Flowery sweets, 'salmon' coloured t-shirts, moisturising creams, 'man bags', tampons etc etc.

Makes me more masculine just typing them!
