UPDATE: I've ordered a Varta Silver 019 battery and just hoping for the best - no reason really why it shouldn't work - all the sites using registration data bring up the wrong battery and from reading elsewhere a 019 is definitely preferable for the model than the 096.
Been trying to find a replacement battery for my Nissan Navara but so far pretty meh experience:
Tayna only has one direct suggestion and that is hugely under the current spec and I want to atleast match ideally beat the current battery (95ah, 850 cca). Weirdly if I use a numberplate search on other sites that act as a store front for Tayna (for instance Amazon) I get a fair range of suggestions but they are all very average batteries.
ECP - even with discounts the batteries they list as suitable for my model are massively expensive compared to anywhere else and mostly they are selling one model lower/older variant of the model at a far higher price.
Halfords - like ECP seem to be selling a slightly lower/older version at a moderately higher price.
RAC - quite expensive though do 1-2 similar batteries to what I currently have but can't find anything that actually matches or beats via numberplate search.
Several other sites have very poor recommendations for my model/reg that are far below the power level that would be ideal.
Most of these sites have higher spec batteries that I think should work fine but often they say not suited to my vehicle :s AFAIK as long as the battery dimensions fit and the amperage is sufficient or higher for my vehicle there shouldn't be any issue but I don't have a lot of experience with car batteries directly. I'm tempted to see what my main dealer has to offer.
EDIT: I think the confusion is these sites are speccing for a normal Nissan D40 2.5dCi but the Outlaw model I have isn't the same as the other D40s. Bit confused here but I think I currently have a 019 battery fitted while all the sites, etc. are listing 096. More confusingly if I type in the serial on the battery I have it comes back as a Varta L5 promotive 155ah which definitely isn't what I have fitted though it is a Varta L5 series.
