Hi,

Im in need of a fun car for under £2000. I really dont know what fun and cheap out there. I need something insurable for a 18 year old too. With that in mind, please recommend me a Fun car for less than 2k.

Yeah it was a bit of a joke. If you look hard enough it is possible, I think mine cost that and it was pretty mint to be honest.

Insurance groups range from 12 to 16. All can be had for £2k or under.

You out of your mind, those sorts of things will cost £4000 to insure for a young driver, more than they're worth.

Try bell and admiral for insurance, good for young drivers in my experience,

look at something older. you can have great fun in something lightweight, low-powered and rwd.

two grand would get you a pretty mint Hillman Imp/Singer Chamois.

insurance would probably be well under a grand.

205 xs is a great little fun car if you can find one, they seem to be pretty rare these days. I insured one at 18 with 0 NCB for under a grand. Failing that perhaps a 106 xs(i)?
