It's my Dad's stag in June, we are going to Liverpool (11 of us)

My Dad is late 50s, but is much younger minded. The people going on the stag are the following ages:
2 x 18 year lads (my cousins sons)
5 x mid 30s (myself included)
2 x early 40s
2 x 50s

We are going for one night, planning on a drunken night around the town, have been looking for cool ideas to make it more fun.
I did find a dwarf hire company where you can hire a dwarf but the price was very expensive - £320 for 2 hrs. He would have been hand cuffed to my Dad, which would have been very funny, especially as they offer a YMCA/homo-errotic costume etc. But we don't want to pay that much for it.

We are already shelling out £75 for a room and £40 for train tickets each, and maybe £100-£150 drinking money each.

Have thought about go-karting in the day also.

But struggling to find other ideas. Any suggestions?

Trust me, it will happen, but not 50 pints of lager. My family and friends can drink! (not so sure about the two youngsters coming with us though, never been drinking with them) If we do shots and beers @ £4.50 a pint it soon goes.

My Dad and I can polish a litre of vodka off between us when on a session.

I expect the £100-£150 will include a meal on the evening too.
Food = £30
Maybe 8-10 pints each @ £4.50-£5.00 = £50
Jagerbombs x 5 = £15
Vodka Red Bulls x 5 = £25
£10-£15 door entrance fees in bars/clubs

£100 is typical spending money when I have a night on the town, it is not an unreasonable amount of money to spend on a stag night.

Please don't do the dwarf idea, pretty degrading for them.

Why is it? If it was so degrading do you think they'd sign themselves up to an agency offering such services? Let me guess, you're one of those people who always likes to get offended on other people's behalf?

depends, some people enjoy the attention etc. If they hated it so much, they wouldn't be registered to the agency. It's not like they cannot do a more standard job.

The way I see it is it is an entertainment role, whats the difference between hiring a magican or a dwarf, both are in the industry as they enjoy to "perform".

Because in my view it's portraying people with dwarfism as a figure of fun, to be laughed at and demeaned. The reason they do it is obvious, because they can earn up to £500 a night the same way an escort can earn money sleeping with men she has no attraction to. But this is derailing the thread so I'll leave it there.

8 pints x 2.5 units = 20
5 x 0.9 = 4.5
5 X 1 = 5

Total units = ~30

You can seriously each drink more than the [old] weekly allowance of alcohol in one session? If you haven't inflated those numbers, I think you have bigger problems than what activity to pick for an evening out.

You haven't lived. ;) Personally I thought the amount allocated was about average for a decent night out. And I haven't drunk alcohol for 14 years.

Congratulations to your dad! Sounds like a good mix of ages, bet it will be a decent night. Might want to make sure any clubs allow stag parties, as a lot of places can get a bit funny when 11 **** heads turn up at 1am off their faces.

Seems standard for lads night out to me

Liverpool is a class night out, and I'm a Manc! There's a few strip clubs (if that's your thing) and more bars and pubs than anyone could possibly handle, as for entertainment, as long as the company is good, that's all the entertainment you should ever need, that and the odd stupid mask and the obligatory handcuffs for your Dad at the end of the night!

Where you you going out?

and £100-£150 isnt took much. You can soon burn throgh this having jager bombs and spirits. Bring out the Champagne and posh drinks and it quickly goes

I agree. If someone routinely uses a drug to such an extent that they have developed such a large tolerance for it, they have a drug problem. Particularly when the drug in question is toxic, causes cancers and other diseases and can be fatal with repeated sub-fatal doses.
