Try using another cd drive to install them if you can.

That error message is all but helpful.. it doesn't tell you what the error was, only what stage the install was at. *shakes fist at lowsy developers*

Also the CD version of the game I have is from the initial launch of the game, how much in the way of patches is there gonna be to DL before it lets me in?
YoungBlood said:VM is fine, one thing I notice though is that when the installer hangs it puts my dual core CPU at 50%, so its maxing one of the cores. Im thinking all my problems are from it being installed onto a dual core machine. Does WoW have issues with dual core, surely not...
You're looking at almost another GB in patches.YoungBlood said:Also the CD version of the game I have is from the initial launch of the game, how much in the way of patches is there gonna be to DL before it lets me in?

Also are your dual core drivers up to date?
YoungBlood said:I got it installed and running, I have also downloaded a patch 1.12 >> 2.01 however inside the zip file I had only 2 files called wow-partial1.MPQ and wow-partial2.MPQ, does anyone know how I apply the patch.
I have tried google and it says to run updater.exe from inside the WoW folder but I have no such file. No such file came with the patch either.
