A mother is 21 years older than her son.

In 6 years she will be 5 times older than him.

The question is: Where is the father?

I've worked out the age of the mother and son, but I can't help but think I've completly missed the point of the problem. What's the father got to do with it? Anyone care to enlighten me?

Well I think her son is nearly 4 years old and she's nearly 25 ... But after all that math, I still don't know where the husband is
