Wow, what a TV!

My friend asked me on Thursday what TV to recommend for £800......so I convinced him to double his budget and buy an OLED

It's the EG910V model

Personally after owning numerous Panasonic and Pioneer Kuro plasmas, I have never seen picture quality like this before. The black borders on widescreen movies are just ink black, which makes you think you are watching a 21:9 ratio TV.

Now I just need to work out how I can convince the mrs to re-arrange our lounge so I can buy one

I wished the photos below did this TV justice, but they don't come close. You have to see one in a home environment for yourself.

Nice but doubled his budget of £800? How much did he pay exactly?

The 4K model is currently discounted to £1999 as it's about to be replaced by the E6/G6 - I'd seriously have stretched the extra few hundred to that.

well, he actually paid £1,250. I was using top gear maths

decided against 4k as he only has 3mb internet (lives out in a small village) and doesn't want to invest in 4k optical media.

I really want one myself now.

Shame about the curve on the TV. The Star Wars text being off due to curve sets of my ocd.

I have to admit, I never really noticed the curve myself in person.
