Function keys not working on laptop

Hi all,
so, got a Toshiba C660-12F laptop (i3-370, 8gb ram, 80gb SSD).
It went screwy so i tried a recovery from hdd, but as the original hdd was cloned onto the ssd it obviously doesn't like it and wont recover.

So, bottom line, i've reformatted from scratch back into win7 pro x64.
I've downloaded quite a bit of the Toshiba software from their website but i can't seem to get the function keys to work and i'm not sure which download to grab to enable them to work, they're pretty non-descript.

Anyone any ideas please? The function keys are pretty important really, so "you don't nee em" kind of answers won't be appreciated, thanks

Their help forums and FAQ's are pretty carp really, and it may be quicker posting here for help.

yeah, but it wasn't listed for win7 pro x64, so i got the XP one and it failed to install with an error. :rolleyes:

Also check to see if TFNKY.exe and HKServe.exe ar running, i think these two services are for the fn keys.

Can't see either of those in the Processes tab of taskmanager.

yeah, all windows updates have been done.

Well it was a reformat of windows, so the bios should be unaffected.
I know about the FN key.
Our users aren't so bright, so i need the get the function keys working fo them so they can turn wifi on/off and attach their laptops to projectors etc when necessary.

Problem with that is that there's far too many, and i need to get this laptop back to the user. I hate bloatware.
I did search their website, and someone with a similar issue said that a certain progr contained the function key drivers. Well i've installed that and it didn't work. Their english was a little rough though so they may not have posted the correct wordage.
