My wife is (now, was) a volunteer for a peer support community program. They helped expecting and new mums/families with any type of issues. They had access to NICU, labour wards etc chatting and helping with mums and even dads sometimes. Ongoing communication via, phone calls, messaging etc to the mums and mums to be. A well worthy cause and also they had a TV show aired that starred that woman from 2 pints and a packets of crisps, Sheridan Smith. It was well received.
She is very upset and currently on a zoom call with the rest of the people who work (paid and now out of a job) and volunteer. It seems they have been done over by the company who is funding them.
I feel bad for all of them. It is needed cause too.

Is a go fund me or kickstarter thing any good for this sort of thing?
