Funnel web spider or nah?

I know we all love a 'what the hell is this' thread so thought I would post this up.

This morning I decided to go into my garage to do a bit of a spring clean and noticed this beauty of a web and spider, to me it looks like a funnel web. I have to say it's web is might impressive, never seen anything like it before.

Safe to say I decided to change my plans today and go out and enjoy the nice weather..

So a spider about as big as your finger nail has stopped you going into your garage & doing what you wanted to do ? Is this what you are telling us ?

Not a funnel web and deffo not a tube web spider. I have tube web spiders all over the side wall of my house. Love them they eat all other spiders and flies and never come indoors!

Its a normal house spider.

Set a daddy long legs on him.

Sow some claw-hooks into the palms and soles of your hands and feet and follow the spider around its house (your house), singing a jaunty I WILL EAT YOU song.

Spiders fear humans, it's biology.
