Funny CPU

Just salvaged an old P3

specs as far as i can see are

700/256/100/1.65V S1
99460265-0106 MALAY
i m c '99 SL3S9

This was one of 2 vertically mounted inside a pc! Wonder why it never caught on?

To give a clue of the architecture, you may be able to see on my pics...doubt it....but i can see the track on the top of the main cpu chip lol!

I used to have a dual CPU PC which had these. I believe they were called slot1 CPU's.

A heatsink and fan would have been attached to the front of yours.

i see loads of those. scrapped god knows how many today actually amuncst the 100 or so PCs we got rid of.
