Funny problem with Crossfire when loading some games

When i want to play some games with my crossfire enabled etc i sometimes get an odd problem. Its not exactly a big problem but rather annoying and it dosnt always happen, basically i can click the game ill hear the entrance music etc but nothing on the screen. As soon as i turn my monitor off (Dell 2005fpw) and on again up pops the image, happens every time without fail it normally happens with bf2142 im using the console command to force it to 1680x1050 but i never had such a problem with a single card, can any one shed some light on it? :confused: . Cheers
 
Try swapping the crossfire cable to the other connector on your slave card

I would also check to see if both X19*0's are seated fully in the pci-e slots

both seated fully i have no other problems in games or anything i guess i could try the other cable into the slave its currently in the primary port on the slave.
 
after furthur testing it seems as though the command line that forces it to 1680x1050 is causing this problem tested without works 100% fine, great stuff eh :o
