Hi all,

Last weekend end when I started up my PC, it started going through the process of trying to re-install Windows (Copying Files etc.). It had been off over night with no prior issues. It's been acting funny ever since.

During the week I pressed the power button and it took a few seconds to kick into life when it's almost instantaneous normally. Another day, the fans/LEDs etc. all started up for a second or so then turned off, but then turned back on again (without me having to turn it back on) and started up from there. Last night, it did the whole re-install Windows jig but managed to stop it early enough. I've just turned it on now after having to press the power button several times.

Any ideas what it could be? I initially thought it might have just messed itself up from a failed update but now it's grown into a bigger issue!

Cheers!

Sounds like a failing PSU, or maybe a BIOS issue. Not sure the Windows issues are related but the fan on/off and power button issue sound like a hardware problem to me.

Just noticed you're running an overclock - try resetting the BIOS and see if that resolves it

Going to try the resetting the BIOS and see what happens. It done it again when I turned it on about 10 minutes ago with the fans/LED's coming on for a second then turning off, then on again.
