the light is on at the back of my hiper type-r but if i disconnect and reconnect the power lead usually there is a brief flicker of the fans - now there is none
and a funny smell
interestingly over the last week my previous stable 270x10 opty146 had been freezing shortly after startup - i had to drop it down to 250x10 for stability - thought it was the ram but it memtested ok
the only thing i was doing tonite was adding back the 2nd 512 stick of ram into my rig after testing each of them separately
is there anything else i might have done inadvertantly or is it definitely the psu?

tried the hiper in 2nd rig - connecting it up the mobo pilot light doesn't even come on
couldn't be worse timing with a postal strike in northern ireland affecting mail deliveries
at least i still have the receipt though
