FurMark MSAA temperature difference

On my r9 270x MSI hawk edition when I run FurMark at 1930x1080, full screen and with 8xmsaa I get about 9fps and (with 99% utilisation) I get 63C. However without msaa I get 45fps and 75C. My clock speed is 1250Mhz and memory is 1550Mhz with +20% power. Is this normal? And what causes this?

Furmark is useless man!!!

Use benches like Firestrike X or 11X or Heaven maxed out if you wanna test temps under artificial loads.

Furmark used to damage a lot of cards by drawing a lot of power and runing high temps.

Now the GPU manufacturers don't allow furmark to work how it used to in the drivers. So now as a testing tool its pointless.

Oh okay so they limit the cards in FurMark? So heaven is a much more realistic test?

Games are a much more realistic test
Heaven and FSX are the best synth benches though for temps etc.

Lol thanks for all the help I will be uninstalling FurMark tomorrow and reinstalling heaven. Since it was limited in FurMark my overclock may not be stable as all I tested it with was FurMark. I'll test in heaven tomorrow.
