I purchased my MacBook Pro in June using the FE discount. I thought that with the FE discount you only get the 90 days warranty, and with HE you get the 3 years warranty.

I just got an email through from Apple about my 'AppleCare Base Warranty Certificate for the Higher Education National Contract'. Seems that using the FE discount gets you 3 years extra warranty free like the HE.

Am I being stupid, or am I not the only one that thought you can only get 3 years warranty with the HE discount?

Oh, i didn't see the bit you added on the end.

Strange that the email says 'higher education contract'..

Oh well, i'm not complaining :D

Here's the first chunk of mine if you want to compare, mate.

I used the FE discount, even though i'm not in further education. They didn't say anything or email me (ordered on the net) so should be no problem.

Did you guys buy it through the phone/HE website or from the shop? my gf bought an Macbook last month using the HE discount at Apple shop and she hasnt received any email regarding her macbook's warranty or anything :(

I just checked with the apple warranty checker and it shows just about 1 year of warranty left  should I give them a ring?

I didn't get that email trough until the other day, and I ordered my MBP on June the 5th. I think it takes a while to process.

Mine also shows 1 year left, even though that email says I have 3 years.
