Hey folks!
I need to achieve something in Excel and i have no idea where to go with it.
I can use vlookups, pivots, general data etc, but this inquiry is more about graphing, of a sort.
What i'm trying to achieve is to map a "sales funnel" based on widths for different sections of the funnel which come from the number of items per section.
Let me show you the funnel and see what i mean:
Now the funnels' shape changes depending on the number of opportunities one has at each stage. Taking the funnel above, it could be said there are 5 stages:
Universe
Above
In
Best Few
Order
And in this example, there are more in the top and fewer in the bottom. But if there were more in the middle it would be thinner at the top, wide in the middle, and thin at the bottom.
This is a useful tool as a manager, and we have a clunky system already that does a bad job of managing to draw a unique funnel dependent on the numbers of items at each stage.
Is there anyway at all to have sheet, with rows listed and in one column having the above stages.
For Excel to then analyse this column, and draw the funnel based on counts/totals of found for each stage?
Is this making sense? Is it even possible? I suspect what i am asking doesn't exist, else if it did someone would have done it and be charging for it!! (there's your incentive!)
Thanks in advance!
