Fury X Vs Titan X - Performance compared

I think on nearly all the side by side reviews the TitanX's textures look blurrier with less detail.

I think it's down to the recording method, using dxtory the images look fine on both, once switched to the capture card (som, w3) the tx picture looks washed out.

Appologies to all of that thinking is far to logical :p

Alien Isolation on the TX looks incredibly ashy and dull compared to the FX, Just curious but did you by chance leave the film grain filter on ? Both recorded with the same software/hardware ?

And alien isolation...also done on the capture card.

Greg, do a pair of recordings on the tx, one on dxtory one on the capture card ;)

Gregster may I recommend Mirillis Action, It's recording software that I use with both my 290X and Titan X.

For Nvidia it uses the Nvidia codec and AMD it uses the AMD codec, Both take up nearly nothing performance wise.

It costs mind you but it is an investment and gets updated once every week or so with new features and performance enhancements.

This way you don't have to worry about the different hardware/software picture qualities :)

Only 70MB, I've seen bigger differences in benchmark runs with the same hardware and software, For example I've seen over 100MB differences when running valley 3 times on my rig with the TX :)

Alien seems to be the one with the smallest differences between the games tested, witcher goes into hundreds of megs of difference. Mordor is tapping on the 2gb door in a few parts.

is using batman in the compares worth much
i havent played it but everyone saying its half finished!?

i guess u could say the same for dirt rally tho lol
i duno im just thinking a lot these games bound to have graphical glitches

Based on the wall colours in the comparison id say the fury as they seem to be paler in the titan x screengrab, though hard to know without direct side by side.

But why wouldn't the AMD GPU be effected? Both are connected by HDMI to the PVR.. If it washes out colours on TX you would expect the same on the FuryX...

Please do what PGI said greg one with PVR and other with Dxtory.

Good Grief, looks like someone poured bleach all over the Titan-X, thats horrible.

*Hugs my 290*

kaap likes keeping us in suspense

The pic was done on a TX @2160p

What was interesting is when running the resolution the image is cleaner than either of the other 2 examples. This is using the native resolution of the monitor.

When I switch to 1080p (not the native resolution) the image quality takes a very big drop. I am not taking about the drop in sharpness going from 2160p to 1080p. The 1080p image actually looks a lot cloudier a bit like in Gregsters TX image but even worse. I tried to take a pic of it but it does not really compare to what you see on screen or in the video for that matter.

The point I am making is running a monitor at a non native resolution can effect the quality. Having said that the Fury X seems to cope with this better.

I never play in a window as sometimes I use more than one card.

I think if the video had been shot on a system with a proper 1080p monitor it would have looked very different.:)
