Hi guys.

Hate having wires showing so....... I have a double socket that i was planning on 'tapping into' and installing a 13A fused switch next to it and putting the wires from my TV and sound bar directly into it. I've done it before with one electrical equipment before, not sure if 2 would be ok.

Would install a plug socket behind TV but not enough room. Any advice before i start cutting into the wall for the wiring?

Cheers;)

I wouldn't have thought that would be a problem as long as the cables are all run in the safe zones and you don't have any other spurs running off the socket. Would the cable to the soundbar/tv be behind the plaster/plasterboard?

Note I am not an electrician, and if in doubt I recommend you contact one.

cool

its what i thought, cheers.

Gonna cut into plasterwork and put cables into some kind of protective trunking. seeing whats on the market, or maybe tack to brickwork and put protective metal strip over top.
