So my time has come, I finally have a job, So in September time to coincide with FF14, Ill be taking the plunge with a new tower.

Just really looking for not, But advice is welcome, Just basically wondering how much of a machine could be gotten for roughly £500ish, that would be a decent upgrade from what I have now.

Currently im on some Dell prebuilt, which is apparently,

Intel Core 2 6600 @2.4Ghz
2GB of like 500Mhz RAM.
512MB 9600GT.

Currently on 1280x1024, But will probably be going full on with a new screen shortly, 1920x1080.

So even though im not buying now, Just looking at what could be done now for that price range, Not including an OS, Or Peripherals.

Any specs advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, and I dont mind turning settings down, Ive been pretty used to playing on Medium and Low for the past few years! :P

Just to clarify, Its not a "Q"6600...Its an old Duel Core :P

and sorry, Not sure of the exact specs, its all hidden under Dell stupidness, The ony thing I know for certain is the 9600GT's brand, Peak, Yes, It may be mine but ive not heard of them either.

Bit of an old bump here, But ill be ordering something or toher within the week, so just looking for abit more help.

My Budget is £589, and I really cannot go over that.

Ive now got a Benq G2420HDBL, 1920x1080 screen, and have a copy of Windows 7 at the ready, So im basically after a the base tower, so any new reccomendations are welcome.

Ps. The only way the budget can go up at all is if im able to find someone to buy this PC, or if I give up and trade it in, in that ncie red shop, If your curious ive got a thread in the price check forum somewhere.

Ok then, some prices have changed so this is good, This is basically the same build as above but with a 460.

Only things im not sure on is if that PSU will be enough, and that Motherboard, there are only 2 reviews on the site for it, One not so good, and both claim having odd problems, so im not 100%.

Ill have to pop some pictures up of my inevitably messy cables in the pc on wednesday!
