I'm currently doing The Introduction to Cyber Security course with Future Learn which is part of the OU. I've not paid any money but you can upgrade for £62 which will give me access to tests, a certificate of achievement and a 20% discount on the APMG International Cyber Security Exam (about £120 I think).

I'm not convinced it's worth paying for this just to get the certificate and discount. Has anyone done any courses with Future Learn?

I have done some courses with Future Learn. I did two at the beginning of last year under their old price model and then did the very course you are doing under the new model.

I did pay for the certificates for the first two courses under the old model as it was a lot cheaper than the costs under Future Learns new model. I did not pay for the Cyber Security course because it worked out so much more expensive to do so under the new model and I did not think it was worth it.

For a platform to do courses I found Future Learn quite interesting but when they changed their model (as they were not getting in enough money I suspect) they just priced themselves out of the market in my opinion.

Personally I've been using other platforms now, (e.g. Linux Academy, Pluralsight(sp) via MSDN, Udemy and courses which I have access too via work through Vendor partner portals (e.g. Red Hat, AWS)).
