future monitor possibly

im looking at the dell SP2208WFP it will be for gaming aswell as general computer usage i'm also looking to dual this monitor up with another SP2208WFP and to use the second monitor with my PS3 and xbox 360 also for msn/web broswer ect when playing PC games

i singled this model out for the connections as i could by a switcher for PS3/360 HDMI cables to the second monitor and use the dvi on both monitors for the PC

but what i want to know is this monitor any good?, does any1 have it?, is there a better monitor out there for my needs?

I don't think anyone of us knows when the 2208WFP will hit our shores yet, we're still waiting to hear on when the 3008WFP will arrive in the UK. (though hopefully it won't be long now)

question: you do realise that a 22" monitor is only capable of 1680 x 1050 right? - which means you'll only be able to run your PS3 and XBOX360 at 720p or 1080i and not at the full 1080p resolution.

wasn't sure if you were aware of that fact so i thought i'd point it out, it's one of the reasons why i completely skipped the 22" sizes and went straight for the 24"+ screens.

Edit: corrected resolution in my post as djohn pointed out; my excuse is that i was having a brain fart moment ;o - i knew i should have double checked those numbers ;p

Slight correction and not sure if it helps but the resolution will be 1680x1050 and not '1620' as stated above.

720p is fine for me its done me ok upto now and i would go bigger but i really want to dual the screens and it will push it way past my budget

also i think you can buys these of the dell website now
