hi all, just looking for some good advice on my PC.

I had the cheapest full system that OC's do for christmas, the basic AMD 4400 2.2Ghz, 2gb Corsair value ram etc....
and I was just looking for some advice on customizing it further. Ive already added a gfx card (8600 GT, budget to start with) and a Antec Basiq 500w PSU. Was wondering if the PSU is good and if I will need an even better one when I get better parts or if it will last.

Ive seen the Corsair XMS2 on sale for 30 quid which looks a good buy, but will i need a new motherboard first as this one really is basic, and does it depend on the PSU for things like that or just the MB.

I use the PC for a few games, CoD4 mostly, browsing music etc. will I see a great difference just by adding the better quality ram? or am I best waiting and getting a new mobo aswell?

And if anyone has any more pointers on customizing as it is my first trial run :)

thanks.

Well for what your using atm the power supply is fine, if you upgraded to the 8800 series or the new nVidia cards you may need a bigger one

ok thanks ill probs update graphics somehwere along the line.

Am i ok adding the XMS2 ram upgrade? will my current motherboard support it on default settings or is it a waste of time for unnoticeable effects?
